A community organization committed to protecting natural and cultural resources of Honuʻapo.
"To restore, care for and protect the natural and cultural resources within the Honu‘apo area. Utilizing the values of malama ‘āina (care for the land), kūpono (honesty and integrity), and kuleana (duty and responsibility), we will work in community partnerships to preserve this area for future generations."
Formed in 2005 by a small community group inspired to protect this 225-acre parcel that was listed for sale around Honuʻapo Bay. After successfully raising the 3.4M sales price, Ka ʻOhana was founded as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2006.
We are an amazing team of volunteers dedicated to helping the natural and cultural resources at Honuʻapo Bay and the adjacent shoreline.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions along the Honuʻapo coastline. Your generous donation will fund our mission and are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
*March 2020 UPDATE* -- Upon request and while supplies last, any donations of $50 or more will include a free made-in-the-USA Liberty brand metal water bottle with the Ka 'Ohana O Honu'apo logo OR a limited-edition KOOH t-shirt (wholesale value + shipping ~ $20). Mahalo nunui for your support!
